Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and Georgia is already feeling its effects. I will fight for policies that protect our environment while creating green jobs that sustain our communities. From increasing access to clean energy to protecting our coastlines and forests, I believe in a future where economic growth and environmental stewardship go hand-in-hand. Importantly, environmental justice must be central to our fight, ensuring that low-income communities and communities of color, who are often hardest hit by environmental hazards, are prioritized in solutions.
Our criminal justice system is in desperate need of reform. From ending cash bail to decriminalizing nonviolent drug offenses, I will fight to ensure that our justice system is truly just. I will advocate for community-based policing models, transparency in law enforcement, and policies that reduce mass incarceration, particularly the over-policing of Black and brown communities. It’s time to shift our focus to rehabilitation and restorative justice rather than punitive measures that do more harm than good.
Economic justice is essential for ensuring that every Georgian has the opportunity to thrive. I will work to create more pathways to employment, especially in growing sectors like technology, by investing in job training programs that equip people with the skills needed in the modern economy. I believe in supporting small businesses, promoting innovation, and ensuring that every worker earns a livable wage. My goal is to create an economy that works for all of us, with a particular focus on marginalized communities who have historically been left behind.
Education is the foundation of opportunity, yet too many Georgia students lack access to the resources they need to succeed. I will fight to ensure that every student, regardless of zip code, has access to a high-quality education that prepares them for the jobs of tomorrow. This includes modernizing our schools, increasing teacher pay, and investing in vocational training programs that give students real-world skills. Every child deserves a fair shot at success, and that begins with a world-class education system.
As someone deeply invested in technology, I recognize both its potential and its dangers. As Georgia grows into a tech hub, we must ensure that innovation is both ethical and inclusive. I will advocate for policies that promote diversity and inclusion within the tech industry, ensuring that marginalized voices are not left behind in this new economy. At the same time, we must be vigilant about the ethical implications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. This includes ensuring transparency, preventing algorithmic bias, and developing sustainable technologies that do not harm the environment or deepen social inequalities. Georgia can lead the way in fostering a responsible and equitable tech future that benefits all.
Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, yet too many Georgians struggle to afford basic care. I will fight to expand Medicaid in Georgia, ensuring more low-income families, children, and seniors receive the healthcare they need. I also believe in protecting reproductive rights and ensuring comprehensive healthcare that includes mental health services, addiction treatment, and preventive care. We must make healthcare more affordable, accessible, and equitable, particularly for rural communities and historically marginalized populations.
Mental health is healthcare, and we need to treat it as such. You shouldn’t have to suffer in silence, unable to access the mental health care you need due to stigma, lack of services, or high costs. I will work to expand mental health services, particularly in underserved areas, and ensure that mental health care is fully integrated into our healthcare system. This includes supporting mental health services in schools, promoting wellness initiatives, and making sure that everyone has access to affordable, comprehensive mental health care.
Georgia’s cannabis laws have disproportionately harmed Black and brown communities, leading to over-policing, unjust incarcerations, and the destruction of countless lives. It’s time to correct this wrong. I will fight to decriminalize cannabis possession and use, as well as expunge the records of those previously convicted of nonviolent marijuana-related offenses. But decriminalization is just the first step.
I believe in creating a restorative justice initiative that not only addresses past injustices but also provides opportunities for those who have been most harmed by the criminalization of cannabis. My plan includes offering grants and business development support to formerly incarcerated individuals, giving them the tools to own and operate businesses in Georgia’s growing cannabis industry.
This initiative will help formerly incarcerated individuals transition into legitimate entrepreneurship by providing them with the resources and support necessary to build a successful business. It will also promote equity in the cannabis industry, ensuring that the communities that were once targeted by these laws now have the opportunity to benefit from the economic growth of cannabis legalization.
This is about more than just cannabis reform—it’s about restoring what was unjustly taken from individuals and communities, and empowering people to become entrepreneurs, innovators, and contributors to Georgia’s economy. Through this program, we will help lift up unlikely entrepreneurs and build a more just, inclusive, and prosperous future for all.
In Georgia and across the country, transgender and LGBTQ+ people still face significant discrimination in healthcare, employment, and education. I will fight to ensure that all people, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, have equal rights under the law. This includes advocating for statewide non-discrimination protections, pushing for policies that promote inclusion in public spaces, and supporting access to gender-affirming healthcare. Every individual should be able to live authentically, free from fear of discrimination or violence.
The right to vote is sacred, yet here in Georgia too many face barriers to casting their ballots. I will work to end voter suppression in all its forms, whether through strict ID laws, limited polling locations, or misinformation campaigns. We need to make voting easier, not harder. This means expanding early voting, ensuring access to absentee ballots, and promoting automatic voter registration. Democracy works best when every voice is heard, and I’m committed to protecting that right for all of us.
Gun violence is a public health crisis that demands immediate action. I believe in the right to bear arms, but with that right comes responsibility. Georgia needs common-sense gun laws that protect our communities, especially our children, from the increasing threat of gun violence. I will advocate for universal background checks, closing gun show loopholes, and banning assault weapons that have no place on our streets. We must also invest in community-based violence prevention programs that address the root causes of gun violence and foster safer neighborhoods. My goal is to balance Second Amendment rights with the need to protect our citizens from senseless tragedies.
Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. I will work to strengthen child protection laws, ensure access to quality early childhood education, and invest in programs that support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of children. This includes expanding access to affordable childcare, advocating for universal pre-K, and ensuring that children in foster care or experiencing homelessness receive the support they need. I will also push for stronger protections against child abuse, exploitation, and neglect. The future of Georgia depends on how well we care for our children today, and I am committed to making their well-being a top priority.
